Snowboard Beveling Question - SKS Multi-edge tool - Snowboarding Forum

Hi, I have a question. I am trying to bevel my board 1 degree on the base. I got a SKS Multi tool for both the base and the edge. It is this, SKS Base/Side Edge Bevel Multi Tool (includes file). I filled in the base edge with a sharpie, the sharpie seems to come off with 1 or 2 pass, and takes a bit of the base off. Is this suppose to happen?

no... the base shouldnt come off.

YES the sharpie should come off the edge, but not the base! Just adjust the file if you can so it can't contact the base.
