Anyone ridden with Rome 390's? - Snowboarding Forum

I just picked up a K2 Zeppelin and need bindings. I had 2007 Burton P1's and really liked the toe cap but the damn things were stolen. I've been researching bindings and have it narrowed down to either Rome 390's or Burton P1's. I'm looking for comfort with good response (not really in the park that much).

I've heard great things about the 390's and was just wondering if anyone has ridden with them and if they have the same comfort level & response as the P1's and do they have the same toe strap?

Also I've heard that if you don't have a Burton board the P1's will not fit right or at least you have to use a crappier base plate, is that true?

dont know about the p1 fit but i would say if you liked your 07 P1s get another set. other then that there are a bunch of people with 390s wolfie in particular and they love em/swear by em. either way cant go wrong so if you wanna try something new might as well.

Lots of people running 390's on here, so do a search and you'll see all their reviews. For what you're looking for, the Targa may be a better option. Dump the P1's.

I ride 390s but haven't tried the P1s. The 390s are a little softer but I use them all over the mountain and love them. The toe strap is different than Burton's because it uses a stretchy material that conforms to the toe of your boot. I like it better than the burton cap strap, but both are nice.

You want the Targas. I have a pair of 390s, and they are my 'do-everything' binding, but they aren't 'super' responsive. If you want something stiffer, you're looking for the targas.

You probably don't want 390s. I think Extremo said in another thread about 390s, "If you wanted something responsive, you got the wrong binding." Consider Targas instead. I've never tried P1s, so can't comment on those.

i rarely fuck with the park and these binding are plenty responsive for me....guess it depends on the rider tho i like all my shit to be flexible (board,bindings,boots) and i mainly ride pow
