Burton Board Finder: 148 too small? (snowboard size)

Are the recommended sizes from Burton's Board Finder a little small? (burton.com/boardfinder)

For 5' 7" - 149 lb - Boot 9 - Intermediate; All my recommendations are 148. Even if I tweak the terrain/speed/personality/experience knobs: I still get 148.

According to the finder: "For a 5'7", 149 lb. male we recommend a board size of 148 cm"

Comparing to almost every other sizing chart out there—these seem small (or Burton really wants me to be a jib/park rider). The reason I'm surprised is because Burton offers 151 in many of the boards they are recommending at 148.

Thoughts?

Yeah too small. For whatever reason they have seemed to have programmed it to only take boot size into consideration. Give it the same stats but a size 10 and it'll give you the 51.

What board are you looking at and where do you wanna ride?

I'm getting back into riding after a long hiatus. I'm looking for something playful and poppy—but don't want to have a hard time carving at moderate speed. I'm close to Tahoe—so there is plenty of terrain available (well, not this year).

I rode a burton custom 154 over the weekend and it just wasn't great. I DO think it was too big, but also may have been the wrong camber. I want to stick with burton because I have a discount.
