K2 Zeppelin or K2 Turbo Dream?
Hello Everyone...
Looking at getting a new snowboard and looking for some advice. Based on research and current sales, I've narrowed it down to the K2 Zeppelin and the K2 Turbo Dream. I live in Minnesota and do the majority of my riding here (although I am going out west for a week in March and hoping to ride some powder). I'm mostly a free rider...I don't do rails and boxes, but do enjoy a nice jump every so often. I've read some good things about the Zeppelin and some good things about the Turbo Dream (although I've had a hard time finding a lot of reviews since its so new). So I'm looking for advice from anyone who may own these boards or know alot about them. I've read that the rocker technology makes the Turbo Dream handle much better in powder with little if no adverse effects on packed and ice. Anyone use this board on packed snow or ice (this is what we get here in MN)? I'm a little worried since the technology is so new and I can't really demo the boards. Any advice would be helpful...Thanks!
As part of this, I'm also trying to decide what size board to get. I'm just under 5'8" and around 170 pounds right now. I've been riding a 155 and have been looking at the 156 in both the Zeppelin and the Turbo Dream. Wondering if I decide to go with the Turbo Dream if I should get the 159. I read in one place that you should go with a slightly longer board if it is reverse camber...anyone know if this is true?
Thanks!
