Westmark / Villain
Looking for a new board for next year, and waiting for the prices to drop on some of the boards. I currently have a machete, and am looking for a board that I can butter more easily, yet handle the whole mountain. I've narrowed it down to these 2 boards and wanted to get your input on which board is better for what I'm looking for. I ride on the east coast, and love to charge down and ice is a factor for the mountain. Any other good options out there (looking for a true twin board)?
The westmark's ride feels closer to your machete just softer, the grip tech will definitely help in icy conditions. It has a skaty loose feel but not like RCR or banana boards that feel like standing on a bubble between your feet.
The villain feels like a camber board without the catchy tips, the sidecut works ok on ice. The best thing about this board is the great pop and how light and durable it is. The sintered base is also plenty fast.
