when is the best time purchase cheap snowboard?

hi, im located in Canada but i would like to purchase snowboard equipments from the states. Im just wondering when does snowboards start getting cheaper ? Right now backcountry.com has alot for sale for 20%, will the discount go higher in the coming months or should i get it now?

This is going to be my first board purchase.

Prices will continue to drop thru spring but availability will also drop. 2014 models will be replaced with 2015 models etc.. I find March thru May to be the optimal balance for online shopping

ah okay thanks for the tip! ill wait it out then and hope i can find a good board that is still available on those sales.

the industry seems to get to 40% off then stay there for quite a while. I tend to grab things at 40%, it take a long time for the half off sales to arrive, and often what I'm watching is gone by then.
