2015 Never Summer Brother in Arms - Storm Trooper, Skis and Longboard

For all you military folk out there.

Oh, and the Storm Trooper is carbonium, unlike their production models which are matte I believe.

It's really cool that NS does this for our military members.

It's even cooler when those boards show up for sale here on the forum for more than they were originally purchased for.

Lol. Have the decency to go sell them on Ebay! Haha.

I forgot, women's Infinity is on there as well.

Yeah taking advantage of those deals is no bueno. Oh well

I'm not a big fan of the design, but I have been thinking about getting a long board.

Thanks OP

the only thing i don't get is , if the proceeds go to charity, doesn't it make more sense to sell to as many people as possiable.

i want one.
Now i have to get a hold of a buddy to buy it.
can't we simplify this ?

Um, no. They are not a non-profit. They lose money on each board they donate since they have to build the board.

I have one of the 2013 Brothers in Arms board and I understand that NS is not 'losing' money on these: Since it is the 'net proceeds' that get donated, they cover materials, production costs, etc. first.

linvillegorge 03-01-2014 09:47 PM

Yeah, it's net proceeds being donated.

Part of the deal with these boards is to give military members a chance to buy a special board at a significant discount.

jdang307 03-01-2014 09:54 PM

ahh gotcha, didn't catch the "net."

In any event, if they allowed anyone to buy it, why even offer it regularly at all.
