Rossignol split.

The local big box store has a sale on last years Rossignol Xv split with Voile bindings, crampons and skins for $580(CND). Does anyone know if this board is any good or if there is a better deal than this, hate buying from a big box but they are the only ones who sale split gear. Just getting into splitting and it is a great starter kit, even if the board is shit, all the gear is almost worth it.

The board is one of the better performers out there. It would be this season's board as it wasn't on the market last year.

I got to demo it for about six weeks last season. I had a blast on the 167 and didn't want to give it back to Rossi. If that tells you anything.

I am surprised by the good reviews. I thought for being so cheap it would be a shit board but at least i would get all the gear. Sounds like a solid investment.

Rossi hurt themselves in the snowboard market. They are making a push to get back in. Since they screwed the pooch they will never sell any boards at a premium, even if they are the most mind blowing boards ever.

So for now they are making quality boards at a reasonable price trying to build their rep back up. Seems to be working.

Therefore their prices won't stay down forever either.

Feed back.

Thanks for the feed back. I pulled the trigger on Sunday and noticed that the deal was down on Monday so I just made it. Hope to give it a little test run this week......if it comes in time.

If you decide get a dedicated binding go with the Sparks. Some annoying modifications are needed to fit the Karakorams due to spacing issues on the XV.

Next year's model will supposedly fix it.

Ah the Karakorum spacing. Yeah they did not have much play in their plates. Looks like the new set up for next season season solves that issue. The "Prime" I believe.
