My friends wife just got him a ns cobra 163w for his birthday. He asked me what I thought would be a good binding.

Please give me some ideas.. was thinking cartels.

Thanks for the help.

Something kind of middle of the road in flex. Flux TT30, Union Force, Burton Cartel, etc.

I've run my NOW IPO's and Drives on the Cobra and both work really well with the medium density bushings.

16 Gnu Swallow Tail Carver . 16 NS West . 15 NS Snowtrooper BIA
15 Now Drive . 14 Burton Genesis
14 Flow Hylite

I like that board with softer bindings, I use Union Contacts. I had the first gen Ride Revolts (with out slimeback) but the Contacts give it a more playful feel without loosing the responsiveness.

I have cartels on my cobra x. They feel great with the board. My cartels have broken twice, but after some research I've found that just about every binding company has issues with bindings breaking. Burton sent me a replacement when stuff broke, took about 5 days to ship. I thought about swapping my cartels for a different binding due to the issue with them breaking, but I like them enough that I'm keeping them anyway. Perfect amount of flex and really easy to get into and out of.

Just bought a pair of Burton Genesis bindings. Hoping to try them out in the next few weeks even though the season is coming to an end up here in the north east.

Anybody else ride this combo?
