Waxing Question

Hey this is my first time waxing my new board and im just wondering should i wait a day or more before hitting the runs or can i go on the runs on the same day and it would not affect the wax.

Wax and ride. waiting is missed time on the slopes, oh and it won't affect the wax either.

you don't need to wait a day after waxing... spread it, wait 20 min, scrape it,buff it... ride it.

Usually, I use the beer rule.

Drink a beer while the iron heats up.

Spread wax (need both hands for this... Unless you have a foam dome?)

Iron wax (one handed... 1 more beer)

Let wax sit (finish off 6 pack)

Get another 6 pack.

Make someone else scrape it. (While drinking your 6 pack)

on a side note, how do you guys keep all the wax from going everywhere?

I have a plastic bag handy and try to gather up the shavings as I scrape and dump them in the bag. Not 100% effective, but nobody cares about some wax shavings on the back porch where I live. Eh, and it's biodegradable anyway

I would love to use this rule, except I don't drink beer  I am responsible for the waxing and maintenance of 3 boards, only one of which is mine XD

I don't think there is a way to keep the shavings from going everywhere. I just push the shavings away from me as I go so I don't step on them. Try not to get it under your feet and grind it into the floor. Then I just sweep it up.

if you crayon it on then iron over the wax and spread there is not that much to scrape off. Then use a clean brush and pan into a bag or and get a vacuum to suck it up.
