That is pretty small in relation to how big gashes can be. If you want to fix it yourself, its really easy. Buy a ptex stick/candle from a shop or online, light it up and drip it in. Cut it flush with a blade and wax over it. There are many different videos on youtube that will show you the process of fixing a ding with ptex. Save your money, do it yourself and use it to get some wax and wax it yourself.
Hard to tell if it's down to the core in that pic, but if it is you can can that filled with p-tex and it will be as good as new, well good enough to not get water into the core anyway.
It's pretty simple to fix yourself, just google how to p-tex a board. I have done similar repairs on the cheap using a six pack ring as p-tex.
Or if your not too sure about the DIY approach it will probably be like $25 give or take for a shop to do it.
If you need to ride it before you can fix it, or it's not to the core just fill it with wax.
