Ok guys, I figured it out. I hate waxing and scraping, but those rub on waxes are shit. I've tried lots of different ways to get around it. Even skipping the scrape completely..which doesn't work, the board is like riding velcro and after a few runs feels totally unpredictable.

This is the easiest way I've found so far. Crayon your board, use just enough wax, don't overdo it you aren't icing a cake. Do your ironing. No scraping. Take the board to your hill and head straight to the carpet lift. Strap in one foot, stand at the base, put your weight into it, and let the carpet scrape all that wax off.

Want to buff/brush your base and can't afford a rotobrush? Those old upright vacuums work great, stiff nylon bristles and it sucks up all the mess. Just adjust the height so the brushes are contacting the base, prop the board on some books and have at it. :dunno:

Seriously? If you're that lazy and hate waxing that much,..? Take it to a shop. Spend $15 dollars twice a season and be done with it. :dunno:

....same goes for your Mother!

Standing on your board over a carpet lift is more work than sharpening your scraper, scraping, and sweeping up all the shavings?

twice a season? I have over 100 days so far this season.. yep I hate waxing that much! I'm thinking of building some kind of floor mounted scraper for my skis so I can just stand on them with the skis on and give them a few passes.

Step one Buy snowboard
Step two Take snowboard out of wrapper
Step three Ride snowboard till factory wax is gone
Step Four Buy new snowboard
Step five Take snowboard out of wrapper
Step six Ride snowboard till factory wax is gone.
Repeat as needed till end of season.

As far as waxing your mother I did that last night when I shot some speed cream in her eye.

Yep! You learn pretty Fast around here to put down the food and drink before reading any of BA's quotes!

I ride every day. I typically just lay a smooth hot wax layer on and don't scrape. No issues with sticking. Usually wax once a week or so. I never clean my base, who the hell does that. The only exception to scraping is on slushy spring days, I scrape it with some texture so it still glides on the super wet spring slush without putting the brakes on too hard.
