Board Length

Whats up?!

I am looking to buy a new board when they go on sale, but I am curious about the length. I currently ride a Gnu CC 165m board, but I bought it when I weighed a lot more, and I am starting to think that it's size is just too big.

I have roughly 10 days on the snow, and 2 of those days were in glorious pow. My wife rented a snowboard last time we went, and they gave her a 140cm board because she a beginner. I am also a beginner, but am able to go down greens/blues.

My question mainly is that If I buy a new board, and keep the older board for pow would you recommend getting a smaller board for agility purposes? I weigh 220 right now. I know my 165 is pretty big from what I have read for my weight.

Any way let me know what you guys think. I will never ride park either, just a fyi.

At 220 you would be fine on most boards 160. My weight fluctuates between 200 and about 220 all year and I ride an all mountain 160, and my pow board is 163. I could go smaller for park but I stay outta there. Rode a 154 malolo for the Dirksen derby and that was fun too.
