Question I know nothing about the board I got from friend?

So I had a friend that owed me money and gave me this snowboard as payment but I know nothing about it :/ can anyone help? It's red with a triangular symbol in the middle, says Nitro on the bottom, and illusion 54 on top.... tried to Google it and came up with next to nothing....

I hope he only owed you $40 and not sure that board is worth $40 if that is the correct board

Yeah, for future reference, it's usually not advisable to accept something in lieu of payment unless you're fairly certain of the monetary value or you're simply willing to take that knowing it's likely all you'll ever see from the deal and you're willing to accept that.

$50, tops. Which boots?

edit: unless something is a collectable (which this is not as far as I can tell) snowboarding gear depreciates quickly!

I think you need to let us know how much this "friend" owes you?
Sorry but I'm sure your gonna be hard pressed to sell it.
  1. I suggest you evaluate your friendship.
  2. he owes you money he can't or has no intention to pay back
  3. he tells you an item is worth way more then it is, and has no real value to you
several assumptions by me but I bet I'm right.

not even sure he got boots with it, doesn't say he did. I think he was taken for a ride by his friend, again....

How much was the loan?

It is kind of lame for you to accept that as payment without knowing the value. I wouldn't pay anything for it.

Find a better friend.

Now wait a second guys!! Yeah, the board might be essentially worthless as a resale item, but if the OP is interested in getting into snowboarding? Using this board, if he becomes hooked and becomes a snowboarder? His "friend" gave him a PRICELESS gift as repayment!!!

OTOH,.... if all you're looking to do is pawn it off for some quick cash? Your friend HOSED you! Hope all you loaned him was lunch money!
