Binding suck - Cocavity in Ride boards

I am experiencing strange phenomena and wonder if it is an unusual thing - when I put my bindings (Ride Capo and Maestro) on my sticks (Ride Highlife and Machete) the base below the base plate gets pulled, creating concavity with diameter approx equal to the micro disc of the binding. It is not very deep, approx 1mm and can be felt with hand. I haven't noticed any issues when riding.

I don't over tighten the screws I think, even when I loosen them to a point of the binding getting loose, the concavity remains. After I take off the bindings completely in 10 minutes the base gets flat again.

I don't think it is a big issue, just wondered if anyone had seen something like this before and if it is related to Ride only.

Just the way the bindings are, I have maestro's on a MAchete GT and mine gets dimpled on the base, doesnt effect the ride or waxing tho. Same situation with a Neversummer and Unions as well.
