Choosing a park board

So this season I've really got into riding park.. But I'm pretty sure I'm being limited by my board.. I've been riding for about 3 years on and off but this year I felt myself progressing more than I ever have before and found myself developing an interest in park riding.. I'm 5ft 8in 220lbs.. (Was a linebacker in high school) .. I wear a size 11 boot.. I've been riding a burton operator 157wide ever since I started snowboarding and I'm looking for something more geared for park riding .. I know I want something shorter and less wide but I'm not sure how small to go.. I've been curious to see what lib tech or gnu has to offer but I thought I'd come on here and see what advice you guys could throw my way

I'm 5'10" and 215 and I bought a 155 K2 Parkstar to ride in the park this year. It is a great board. Not great outside of the park, but in the park it is awesome!

GNU danny kass monster 155

or

K2 WWW 154

Both will work good.

I'm at 210-220 and have both these boards.

I'm selling the K2 154 for $150 in very good condition. I'm in LA. Don't like the Flat profile.

Hit me up if interested.

D2Cycles what dont you like about the parkstar outside of the park? i have a 152 and i love it all over the mountain... From carving pencil lines in corduroy to powder patches, and of course the park. Mind you i am only 155lb... Perhaps the 155 is too short for you outside of the park?

The Parkstar is way too soft for me if I'm riding hard. The board will lose an edge over any crud. If I'm just screwing around, it is super fun. At 215, I just need a stiffer board to carve.

Ah fair enough.
For me carving hard usually means i have to wait for my wife at the bottom, so most of my all mountain riding is spent screwing around. I am looking to try the Echelon Killbox next for hopefully even more throwability

Would A size 11 boot cause any issues if I was to go with the park star.. Would I be able to get away with anything shorter then a 155?

it depends on the board and the flex
