Default 175 pound and 6' trying to pick out new setup

I'm having a hard time deciding on what to do. I have been riding a 10 year old custom 156 and now am looking for something better in powder. My dilemma is that I already bought a 158 flying v custom (have not ridden it) in the hopes that it could cover everything I want but now I'm starting to lean toward keeping and bringing my old 156 custom as a park/groomer board on trips and getting a dedicated powder board like the 161 barracuda. I can return the board free of charge so that's not a concern. My main question is - can the 158 flying v cover what I do and save me the hassle of taking 2 boards on a trip or should I get the barracuda because its that much better in powder?

I should also add that I'm a predominantly backcountry rider and I go on 1 to 2 big ski trips a year amounting to 14 days on the mountain where I mostly look for powder runs.

Keep the barracuda, get a custom topsheet made, solve your aesthetic issues without conpromising function.

Yeah - I punch trees and rocks as I go down - its quite a sight to see bro. (sorry I'm not up to date with my riding terminology - if aggressive is reserved for pro snowboarders than I'm just a guy that rides powder fast.

Thanks Lamps and Snowdogwax - I have started to give up on trying to make my gear match in anyway. I have one other question and thats whether I should get the mission, cartel, or malavita est for the barracuda.

Now that I've decided on keeping my old board and getting the barracuda, I have another decision I'm trying to make. Should I get the cartels est for the barracuda or get cheaper custom reflexs which I can fit and use on my old board and use with my new one reducing space in my bag and replacing my old bindings which aren't in the greatest shape. My only worry is whether the reflex will not respond as well as the est and if the cartels are that much better (but I would save almost 100 dollars too).
