Should I get a new board?

Hey guys, I got a board about five years ago, when I was 11. As you can imagine, I've grown a bit. I have a 144cm board, and I got that when I was like 5'1. Now I'm 5'7, and weigh like 130lbs. I'm thinking of getting like a 151cm board, but I'm not sure. I currently have a women's board, but d like to get something stiffer and more stable. Since my current board is so short, it's less controllable at high speeds, so I'm looking for possibly a men's board... So really 2 questions.

1. Should I get a new board? My current one is good for the park but I'd like to do other things besides the park. Also, I've grown about 6 inches since I got my board...
2. Is it alright to get a men's board? I'm probably about intermediate at snowboarding. I could control a stiffer board, and it's not like I'm that tiny, I'm 5'7 and a lot of guy snowboarders I know are like barely an inch taller, albeit they weight like 30 pounds more...
