What size for me (5'6" 130lb male)? Lib Tech T Rice Pro HP

I am looking to get a new board, but I am confused.

I want to get the Lib Tech T Rice Pro Horsepower board, here are my choice of sizes:
- 153 blunt tip
- 157 blunt tip
- 161.5 pointy tip
- 164.5 pointy tip

I am 5'6" 130lb male, adv/expert level rider.

I want this to be an all-mountain, regular/switch riding, also park-friendly. Will I have issue with blunt tip on powder (little pow, not big pow)? I don't get a lot of powder, but I don't want it to be impossible on them.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

PS. will Rome 390Boss be a good binding for it too?

the 153 I would say. any smaller sizes?

I would suggest that you get the 150.5 if it's available to you.

At your weight, I would try to find the 150 or 153. How old are you and will you grow much? if so, the 153 will be fine, but it is mighty stiff for someone as light as you. I rode the 153 for a season @ 170 lbs and it was pretty damn stable at high speeds. I recommend the board, but if you are going to stay around that height and weight, I wouldnt go anywhere near the 157. You shoudn't have any issues in pow either. 390 Boss won't be too bad, but it doesn't match the stiffness of the board. That comes down more to personal preference with the bindings matching the board. I myself prefer the binding to be slighty stiffer than the board.

Seems like 153 is the way to go..... 153 is the shortest they make....

I love "stiff" boards, the longest time fav was Salomon Michelle Taggart (super stiff, freeride, pro-model) 155.

I was thinking the longer the better, but that's probably wrong by now..... so, I guess, 153 it is! I won't be growing anymore.... LOL

Now, is 390Boss is not a good fit, what is?

I hav a little more limited experience with bindings, but the Burton Cartels would be good, Union Atlas, Rome Targa, Ride Capo are a pretty good fit as well. I love my 390 Bosses, and they wouldn't be a terrible fit, they just wont match the stiffness rating on the board. It all comes down to preference at that point, 390 is a park/ all mountain freestyle flex, just a little softer than some of the other selections here. If you have them already, I would slap them on it and ride, if at that point you feel like they don't match up well, you could go for something a little stiffer.

I don't have the 390Boss yet, I am buying everything new. I was looking at Union Atlas, but they only have stupid colors left.

How about boots? Any recommendations?

I am looking at Salomon F3.0, Burton Ruler, and maybe Burton Ion ($$$).

There could be many quality bindings that would suit you well. If you are buying at a local shop, I would weigh your available options that are a suitable match. The 390 Boss will do the trick for sure. As for boots, it's totally based on what is comfortable to you. I like Burton boots myself, I have the Hails. I've heard Salomon makes a great product and I've had great experience with K2 boots and bindings in the past.

Is money an issue or are you on a tight budget?
