Ride Beta vs Union Force

Hope u guys can help.. i can't to decide which to get..
These will be my very 1st set...
I've ridden on my friend's rome board w/ old model beta (yellow ones) and they are comfortable and i even tried to do my 1st jumps on them and they land nicely (not sure if the board or bindings setup help much)..
on the other hand.. it seems like alot of others would vouch for Union but i have not had 1st hand experience on them... has any1 ridden on them both before?

thanks

If you are talking about this year's beta's. I love mine and can take them all over the mtn. The webbed toecaps are the best design ever

Either binding should be great. I vote for the Forces

It come's down to stiffness. The Ride Beta's are considerably stiffer than the Force. I personally don't like my binding to be that stiff because I ride a lot more park than all mountain. But if you're looking for a responsive all mountain freestyle binding go with the Beta.

The ratchets are the major difference between 08 and 09. The 09 ratchets are significantly improved and worth the money IMO.

The Force's do have a convertible strap but from someone who's ridden both Rides Convertible and now has the Unions, the Ride's is much better unless you have a square toebox or get the Unions just right. That said I love my Data's which are a tad stiffer than the Force's and give them a definite 2 thumbs up

I like the Union toe straps better than the gel Beta's. Last years Beta toe straps were more comprable to those on the 390. The Force are actually a little lighter than the Beta with the Force weighing 2 lbs 2.8 oz and the Beta weighing 2 lbs and 3.2 oz.

If you go with Ride bindings, you def want the new ratchets and the webbed toestrap.
