Size matters

Hi I'm looking at purchasing a libtech TRS c2 btx for my 1st snowboard looking to ride all mountain and park on it. I'm 5'10 190pounds.

What size should I opt for 154 or 157?

Cheers

Did a quick search on google and found this chart.
Snowboard Sizing, Size Charts and Guides

I am still rather new to the snowboarding world. However, most of what i've read suggests that judging your board-size off your weight is more important then height. Therefor, if you weigh between 180-190 I would recommend 155-161. If you weigh between 190-200 I would rock a 157-163.

190lbs probably close to 160cm.

157 minimum. Probably something bigger. I'm same height as you but weigh 155LBS and I ride the 154 TRS and it still feels unstable at high speeds sometimes.

Sorry, but I'm new to snowboarding. How does the wight correlates to the snowboard height?
From what I read the snowboard heights should reach to your chin.

if you check the board spec carefully, you will see there is a rider weight for each size.

to you chin is just a very simple and not very correct way to decide the size of the board

I'm about your stats and I have a T pro 157. Rides fine for me, general on-piste use. It's not bad off-piste, but there's better out there for that.

It is not my only board, so when I do my preferred off-piste riding I use a board more designed for that.

157 will be fine to start out with and use for everyday conditions and groomers.

wait for it to be on sale like at $300.

Just remember , never pay retail, ever, and its not a deal unless it is more then 50% off retail, min.

Snowboard equipment gets marked down as low as 90% in the offseason.
