Reversed color bases

After this season of riding my deck, I just noticed today that i have a Capita Outsiders with a black CAPITA lettering over a red base. All that I see everywhere and online, The Outsiders always have red letterings over a black base. Is there a reason for this?

Lots of times the bases are like die cut and they use the leftovers for another board. They take like a black base and a red base and cut out like the words and then swap the red words into the black base and vice versa that way they are not throwing away all that material. They show one pic on line but often say base graphics/colors may vary.

Sounds pretty sweet to me. I figured you were talking about a board who's base is essentially reversed from the top sheet like my Charlie Slasher.

Huh?! That never occurred to me! Makes sense! I always wondered why Arbor always seemed to have two different base options for a lot of their boards. and always just a reverse of color!

On Jones snowboards site, they actually advertise that they do it and say why. Its cost savings.

So when I bought my Outsiders then I randomly got whatever color was sent, no choice option during purchase for this?.

I thought i got a unique mistake in the factory deck or slightly different for demo use. Thanks.
