new to the sport need some help with a new set up

Ok so here is the deal i am 6'1 about 200 and wear size 11 boots, right now i ride a older burton floater 164w i i dont really have any complaints about the board, but i have nothing to compare it to, i allready know i am not going to spent hardly anytime in the park and like just free ridding and want to start hitting jumbs eventually but rails and boxes aren't going to happen much if at all. i was looking at rome boards and i think the anthem and flag are sick but my question is do i really need a wide board i am right on the boarder line when in comes to what size boot they say needs a wide i was hoping to get a board that carves and turns like it is on rails and getting a board that is too wide will effect that right? i know i my be asking for alot but i also want a really stable ride so would jumping to a 168 help? hey any opinions i can get will help thanks, also what binding set up would you recomend,
