Hey guys, Im new here so yea. Im 5'10'' and weigh 140 pounds. I consider myself beginner/intermediate (more towards intermediate) and I enjoy freeride. My boot size is 11 ( I wear 2008 Burton freestyle).
So I was search through my local craigslist and I've came across several choices that Im stuck in between and hopefully someone here can help. 1. 2007 Palmer Classic Snowboard 2. 155cm Salomon Snowboard w/binding 3. Lamar Diablo Snowboard 151 and Boots size 10 4. Ride Snowboard 160 cm. today only!! (2003 model I believe) So sorry if some of the ads werent too detailed but Im hoping some of you can recognize these. Please recommend me a board Im leading towards choice 1 since its fairly cheap.

I'm assumnig you want to stay in the $150 range for both board and bindings? If you can spend a little more, I'd look for sale on a new board and bindings rather than take any of the options you listed.
If I had to pick from your selection, probably option 2. You really need to find out how old that board is and the condition of it, including bindings (can't tell from the pics). The Lamar is entry, entry level but the best size for your weight. 1 & 4, the boards are too big for your weight. |

Thanks for your opinion guys. After reading a bunch of reviews it seems like the Palmer was the poor mans "Burton Custom" so I thought that be best since I be saving some money. After checking around the forums and looking at that evo coupon code, I realized there are a lot of cheap Morrow snowboards. Are they any good? I mean why are they so cheap

by the way your craiglist searching skills suck lol.
Burton Bullet 154 Snowboard I had that for sale for ever on craigs list and just sold it on this forum instead. it would have been the perfect setup for you. |

Its odd but NONE of the boston stores have an availability for in-store pick up =(. But yea, all this searching has gotten me down. Now I think I should just wait it out to like Aug for whatever is there.
**Edit**: That does seem like a great deal, Im going to try to contact that guy Last edited by Gepidae; 02-23-2009 at 11:18 PM. |
