is my poor custom done for? board injury :(

Not sure how this happened (methinks a nice drop on concrete)

but tell me what you think

My only solace is that its right above where the board actually touches snow so it didn't really affect my riding after I noticed it:

and then there's also this on the top, I'm less worried about but would like advice on repair if possible:

2014/15 Season:
Strattitude Pass, bring it on VT!
Rocky Mountain Super Pass +
Steamboat Springs + Crested Butte this January!

2013/14 Season:

No way! That's just the nose, it doesn't even touch the snow. Just keep it water tight. Epoxy, clamp, done.

Edit: Now if you need an excuse to tell your wife/girlfriend then yes, you definitely need a new board.

haha no I love the custom! it's my 2nd one too (1st got RMA'd and they gave me this one)

That drop though... not only did it f*ck up the edge as seen, it actually made a pretty big bump too not sure if you can see that. Had me really worried but yeah... if it's not touching snow at all shouldn't be a big deal I hoped.

BTW just in case you didn't notice, first set of pics are for different hit (where edge is really bent in and the bump I speak of is) it's probably an inch maybe more above where board actually touches snow.

Last 2 pics is for a much less worrisome hit that's on the actual nose.

I know...I abused her this season by going into the woods prematurely

the irony of course is that the major injury was NOT from a tree or a rock...

Pretty sure you want to seal it up tho. Even if damage is not a ride killer. If water gets inside it's my understanding rot will spread.

Two pieces of thin plywood or such and a C clamp or two, epoxy the open areas around the edges, clamp it up between the pieces of wood n trim. I had some topsheet peels on my Arbor requiring similar treatment. Seems to be holding up well.

Good luck!

We have all done stupid shit, but it is repairable, so just take the advice here, and use it as a beater for next season when you have a nice new board you don;t want to trash when the rocks etc are showing... Hehe
