My first season

Hi all, this is my first season of snowboarding, and I had a blast. I logged, by the looks of my rental receipts, almost 34 days. I think it's about time I bought my own board. I am 5'11" and 180lbs.size 10 feet. I bought the 32 binary boa. I was wondering if anyone has any info on the rome tour? And, would Union force be a good binding for that? Or, should I go with the rome reverb, since my rental was a burton custom. Thanks in advance for suggestions. Cheers.

You should be okay on either of those boards you won't really notice the difference to much. I've been riding my union forces all year and can't come up with anything bad to say about them. They do alright in the park and alright on the rest of the mountain as well.

pretty much what pax said. I would pick up something that's a medium flex camber, so you can try a bit of everything and the board won't get in the way. oh and make sure you get the right sized board, that makes a world of difference.

Thank you Pax, Andre, and TD for your advice. After sifting through previous "first board" threads and your advice I ended up getting the Rome Reverb 158 camber version along with Rome Boss 390 bindings. Originally, I wanted to get the Burton Custom since that was the board I had rented all along, but price wise I got a better deal for this package.

Also, I had a question but did not want to start a new thread, is it true that the Never Summer SL will be replaced by the Stormtrooper next year?
