So, lately I've noticed the banana craze. I was wondering if I should invest in a banana myself. I'm thinking about getting the skate banana. I really like to just cruise. I like riding pow and groomers and I've been interested in a little bit of park and some jibbing. In reviews, I've read that bananas are good any where you go, but I don't have any friends who have taken one for a spin.
If I end up not wanting to do much park or jibbing, would this be a bad investment? Or would I be safe to go with the banana? Right now I'm riding a Lamar Cruiser 154. Thanks for any help. -Jd Edit: I also like to play around with flatland tricks and butter a bit. It's a favorite (just forgot to mention it). Last edited by Ezoriel; 02-25-2009 at 03:48 PM. |

I don't really need a new board..I'm just really interested in all the next stuff they've been throwing onto the Lib-Tech boards. You know, the banana tech and magnetraction.
And if I were to get this board, I'd probably end up selling my cruiser to a friend who wants to pick up snowboarding. |

I wouldnt buy a SB, if your buying this year get a NS SL-R or Evo-R for a more park oriented board.
In 09/10 Lib-Tech is "copying" Never Summers double rocker..i think its called C2 or B2 or something like that... Skate Bananas are good boards, but not for what your listing.

Go with a bataleon airobic
. Its soft for buttering and jibbing but still decent for the rest of the mountain. Also tbt makes ground tricks ridiculously fun.

Well SL-R can do park, and all mountain. Evo-R can too, but its built for someone spending a good amount of time going off jumps, rails, and halfpipe.
You mentioned that you just cruise and go through powder with the occasional park, in which case the SL-R would be a good choice too. Might be hard to find these boards now though they have been sold out at a lot of stores for quite a while. Granted im a NS whore, so take it for what its worth...there are plenty of reviews of the SL w/ Rocker(SL-R) and Evo-R out there so take a gander..there are other good boards out there..the TRS BTX sounds like it would fit your riding style more if you want to go LibTech...Bataleon has some nice boards too.. http://www.snowboardingforum.com/equ...-you-guys.html
