Yes Asym vs Yes The Greats
Been trying to pick up a The Greats 156 forever with no luck. Rode my friends 154 and fell in love. It just rides exactly the way I want to (except a bit short). So I settled on getting the Asym 156 but began reading reviews saying it's a departure from The Greats in flex and feel.
I've seen one thread here where Tonicusa was not impressed:
Any other impressions and/or comparisons to The Greats are appreciated
From my understanding, they're the same board. I heard that Yes was ditching the "Asym" name and going back to "The Greats", but I haven't seen any confirmation on that.
Yeah I saw that in the Yes 2015 catalog. Don't really care about the name, just want to make sure the Asym feels/rides the same as The Greats. If I recall correctly the wood core changed a bit. The one downside to The Greats is it did feel a bit heavy in hand and maybe stuck in my head while riding. Everything else was awesome. Loved the stiffer freestyle feel and asym cut. Board had awesome pop whether loading it up or just popping off lips.
