Do I need a wide board?
 

Hello the past two seasons I was limited in my boarding time and went the rental route, but totally love the sport. I will be able to spend much more time on the slopes this year and am planning on getting my on gear. I am 6ft 170-175 lbs with a size 12 boot. I already have 32 Lashed boot that fit perfect but I need to round out the rest of my rig. Am I going to need a wide board? Suggestions on any board in particular?

Due to the size of your boot, and the company that worked best for you, yeah, you're going to need a wide board.

What kind of waist width do I need to shoot for?

Hm...that somewhat depends on what your stance is...(other members correct me if I'm wrong) but a 25.5 cm. waist should be fine... If you are one to duck out your bindings you might even be able to get away with a midwide board... :)

I wear a 13 boot and I look for waists in the 26+ range... most true wide boards I can think of will be about 26.4 or wider
