I think maybe a board in the 153 range would be fine for jibbing. As for Gnu, there are a lot of people on this forum who like gnu. Personally I have only dealt with one; a model of theirs a few years back that delaminated. :S That was most likely just a model specific problem though, so the answer to your question is yes. Gnu is good.

Most definately go for a shorter board. I like to ride about 5 cm shorter, but that's me. With your weight I'd say most people are going to tell you to go with 152-53ish.
Gnu is a great brand. I'll also suggest Atomic, Ride, and Rome.

I was thinking that too, but since the OP is already riding a 156, I was thinking a little shorter may help.
Is there anyway you could demo/use friends' boards?
