I was boarding with my buddy on the weekend who is not as good as me (and I am by no means great). He was following me down a Black Diamond run that had a steep narrow section with a fairly sharp turn half way down. I decided to just bomb down , not thinking he would try to keep up ..... but he "tried" and took a massive SPLAT when he caught an edge. He kept tumbling down and it looked like a scene out o a cartoon where Wile E Coyote gets creamed by the Roadrunner. I thought for sure he was going to break something but he managed to just get bruised up.
I have yet to wipeout real bad. When I started boarding I almost gave my self a concusion when I went back on my head. I bought a helmet after that... but nothing serious yet. Who has broken themselves up boarding? |

^^ that sounded nuts lol seems you and I had the same head encounter also lol.
this is the wrong section though brother... But so far the hardest fall happened on my very first day out when the mountain magically turned to ice. I was on the lift and I seen the Japanese guys just doing 360's down the mountain with board on ground ( i don't know the name of the trick) well I was going through the logic in my head of what I would have to do to pull it off. I attempted it and pulled it off twice, on the third time I got a good amount of speed and I attempted it again, this time I dug my heel into the snow and fell on the back of my head. I blacked out for a second felt like football, got up smiling with a busted lip......a little dizzy also. this is not the same day.... I landed on my shoulders that time but yea looked like this. OH im doing good! ![]() F@8k!!

I think you may have the wrong category here, unless you can explain what this has to do with "General Equipment Talk" ... ?
But anyway, my worst 'smack' would probably be early this season, first day in the park, not warmed up at all and the snow was suuuper fast, did not do a check-out run and flew about 30 feet in the air off a kicker, only to come down and land right at the bottom of the tranny on my side and roll for a bit. Amazingly, all that happened was a hurt wrist/hand, not even sprained. Last edited by SB4L; 03-04-2009 at 02:45 PM. |
