option franchise, anyone know anything about it?

hey, im thinking on buying an 09 option franchise.

the guy in the shop ses its great allmoutain freestyle board, i havnt heard alot about it and i cant really find anything about it either.

if anyone has ridden it or heard anything about it, it would be very ussfull.

it's the continuation of the sansalone (he's got his own brand now)

it's a stiff high-end freestyle/freeride stick

i cant specifically comment on that board but option overall makes a pretty solid product .. they dont have a crap ton of money for r&d being a smaller maker so they pretty much just go with proven existing technologies. They do seem to concentrate a little more on the all mountain riders and the products that cater to them

more comparable to a stiff nitro stick

For the past few years option has been going downhill in terms of management (thanks Dewar) after Aaron Macdonald left to start Sapient (funded by A.Mordo). The future is bleak for Option, but Macdonald is back (along with NFA), so hopefully they turn it around...
