Default NS Evo-R or Bataleon

I'm 5'8" 155 lbs. and want to get another board mainly for jumps and a little jibbing. I already have a horrorscope, which is only a jib board. It's kind of hard to pop the horrorscope but it is because I am a newbie to jumps.

I have heard that bataleons are great because tbt helps for landing 360's and other spinning types of jumps and butters. I can't find a Riot anywhere so I'm thinking of waiting til next year if it's a better choice. Is the Riot ok for jibbing? I'm probably going to pick up an Airobic for sure to see how awesome it is for jibbing.

I have also heard great things about the Evo-R because of its amazing pop and rocker. I hear it's still great for jibbing, which is a plus for me because that's the main thing that I do. This one I think the 151 will do great for my weight.

So the question is: Which is better for landing 180s, 360s and such for a newbie like me?

The only problem i can see with Bataleon TBT and pulling tricks like 360's and what not is it may give you a false sense of success, and if you went to a regular board you would probably snag your nose or tail and eat it.

Im sure the Evo-R will suit you well, you didnt specifically state which Bataleon board ...

Either one should be great. Without demoing both though, you won't really know for sure. I'm a huge Bataleon fan, so I'd say go for the Airobic!

I'm definitely getting an Airobic but still unsure on the Riot, which may be too stiff for jibbing. I want to try a Bataleon so bad. Next year's Riot looks so nice. So far it seems no one goes back to cambered or reverse cambered boards after riding a Bataleon.

Riot is for jumps, not jibbing. You should be looking at the Airobic and Fun Kink.

What if you choose to ride nothing but bataleon boards for the rest of your life?

Why do people talk about TBT or Rocker as if it's some kind of training wheel? It's just a new technology that's being developed, not an aid or cheat.
