Got a free snowboard help please!:]

Okay so here is the ordeal im in-
Im 17 and in my schools ski club i won a free burton seven board
This exact deck in 154.5- Burton Snowboard Burton Seven Snowboard
I use burton mission bindings and size 11 boots im 5'9 ish and weigh 145. The wideness of the board is 244 and i have large bindings. I was talking to a friend and he said that anything above a size 11 boot should get a wide board. The thing is i love this board to death:] i havent ridden on it yet but it looks super buttery and nice pop.

Any suggestions on what i should do?
Ps. i can trade in the board for any board equal or less to it:]
pps. i was thinking about getting board risers like this- Compare Prices on Burton Elevator Binding Risers Is this a good idea in my situation?

Considering the boots you are likely wearing and your probable stance width, I would suggest trading it for a wide board.
