Omatic Awesome, ok for beginner ?

Hi All,

This is my first season in snowboarding and I absolutely love it. The board I am learning on is an Omatic Boron with salomon chief bindings and I really like it but I think the board is too wide for me. I got the 156 wide model and do not think I should have. I wear a size 9 boot and sometimes it is really difficult to make quick edge changes when linking turns. I tried a narrower board and it seemed a lot easier.

Anyway, I really like the Omatic company and would like to get another board from them. I am curious if anyone has experience with the awesome model. I am interested in a very versatile board and this one seems to be just that.

As far as my skill level goes, I am able to do all the basic maneuvers(link turns etc.). Is the awesome an OK board for a beginner rider that has one season under their belt?

I appreciate everyone's help.

the o-matic awesome is much softer than the boron not to mention the true twin shape difference
and with size 9 boots, you hardly need a wide board.
I dont even ride a wide with my size 11s

Would the fact that the awesome is softer make it easier for someone at my level? What about the true twin shape? I am either going to get the awesome or another Boron in a normal width. I am just not sure which way to go.
