which snowboard?

Hello
I am beginner.
height: around 6ft4
weight: around 207lb
boot size: 12

Which deck size gonna be good for me as beginner?

I was thinking about Burton Custom ICS 167W or 172W , because i found good price and i read good reviews about.
What do you think? Will be fine for me?

For me shorter or longer snowboard?

Thanks

I dont think you need a 167 unless all you ride is powder, and if it is Id suggest a malalo not a custom.

I think youd be happy in the 160-163 range if your more of an all mountain rider, more towards 160 if you dabble in park too, more towards 163 if your a cruiser. I would suggest a wide though because toe drag sucks

also about the ICS unless you intend to only buy burton bindings I wouldnt waste the money on ICS because its just another way for burton to get people to buy only burton IMO(!), I would just get the regular custom, but it would help if you told us what kind of riding you do as well that helps us better understand what you need

height doesnt play a huge difference in snowboarding, thats an old myth that came from rental shops. your weight is what affects the snowboards flex, the way it carves, pops holds an edge etc. Im 190 and I ride a 155 and a 157, Im perfectly happy with both of those.

there is a forum stomper on brociety.com right now which from the description sounds like a good board for a beginner, its a freestyle oriented board which isnt a noodle because it sounds like it was designed to be all mountain. and under the weight category it places people who are 210lbs under the 162 size. Id take a loot at that board because its only $160

I agree with RidePowder about the length. I was looking at some of the longer boards (I'm 6'0, 210lbs, size 11 boot) and I ended up going with a 164W. I checked out a 168 before buying my deck and it was just too big for me. To tell you the truth, I could have probably went a little shorter than the 164, but I plan on riding a little pow and wanted to make sure I could pull it off.

When I was prowling the forums doing research on buying my new deck, I got annoyed with all the responses saying "buy what's right for you", but after going through the process, the people saying that were spot on ESPECIALLY when it comes to buying boots. Good luck!

Your weight is mor significant than your height when it comes to board length. I am also 6'4 and weigh 223. I have a 163 Rome flag. I wouldn't go any longer. I would actually go shorter if I got a park board. You are going to need a wide board. Don't just limit yourself to Burton when there are better brands with lower prices.

I think All Mountain style for me, so 163W should be fine from allmountain?

I have an 11.5 boot and I ride a regular board, sure my toe hangs over a bit but unless I am burying my toe edge into the hill I dont really notice it, plus my union bundings are so cushy that I practically have risers
