07 burton dominant or 07 forum destroyer? - Snowboarding Forum

aight im looking at getting a 07 burton dominant(150) or a 07 forum destroyer(152) but i dont know which one would be better for me?
i weigh anywhere from 120-130 and im about 5'6-5'7 and size 10 boots, not growing a whole lot if any. i like to ride park mostly but charging the rest of the mountain from time to time is always fun. ill be riding chestnut mountain and sundown mountain and maybe mammoth and mountain high. thanks for the help

Well... a lot of people on this forum will say that Forum is "bunk" or something like that, but both Burton and Forum are really the same company since Forum is owned by Burton. That said, (and based upon the models you chose) the two will be pretty similar. If it were me I would go with the Forum because over the years the destroyer line has been awesome in the park. Hope this helps you some!

Agreed. I'm not really a big fan of either company... but I'm going to go with Forum on this one.

Just out of curiosity what made you decide that you wanted to go with one of these two boards???

the 07 burton dom is junk. snapped 2 of them in a month. and it only rode well for the first day on snow too.

i rode my friends forum board, and while burton and forum may be similar in ownership, thats where the similiarties end, in the corporate world. forum is still forum, and still better than burton.

the reason why i choose these 2 boards is because there both new and under $300 and they both seem like great boards and there more for intermediate people than a beginner right?

i was also wondering if there is anything bad about the 07 destroyer??

If I remember correctly, there was a batch with a topsheet delam issue, though that has probably been fixed by now.
