Buying a new board and bindings
So this is my first time posting so please excuse me if i manage to fuck it up :P

Im needing to buy a new board and some bindings because I've had my burton feather since 2011 and although it was a great one to learn on its time to upgrade. Ive done a lot of research but theres so much out there and people on here seem to know a lot so any advice on what to get would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for an all mountain intermediate bored. I mainly just ride groomers but id also like something thats able to mess around in the park a bitů if I'm feeling brave lol.

Weight - 135
Height - 5'5
Boot size - 9
budget - id prefer to stay under $600

Thanks (:

I remember when posters used to bitch about there being no women on this site. Seems like every "what should I buy thread" from the past week or so has been from women. Not saying that like it's a bad thing in the least, I just have nothing to offer.

Consider burton feelgood, cambered if you ride aggressively or if you see a lot of ice. Otherwise Flying V. Look for a demo.

My gf rides a Roxy Banana Smoothie 149 i think. She is only a learner but loves it and says its easy to ride and learn on and still throw around and have heaps of fun.

My gf had a burton blender. I would describe her as an advanced rider but i think the blender is considered an intermediate board. Give it a look at least. She hauls ass on the thing.

My wife decided on the Hel Yes for her all mountain stick after test riding a bunch of boards. She's got another board for park though so maybe you need 2 :D

I would check out the Flow Jewel. Pretty sure if you do a search on here, there was a few ladies that were pretty impressed with it. Also, I believe it is or is very close to the female equivalent of the Flow Era, which is currently my favorite board to ride. Pretty good price on it too, check it out!

Here's a thread from snowboardingforum that has some reactions to the board..

As far as bindings, kinda depends on what you like. Usually can't go wrong with almost any Burton binding, although I would make sure to get one that has the "Re:Flex" disc, and most of their newer ones do. If you were looking for a quick-entry binding, I really enjoy my Flows, and their Gem or Minx binding is a pretty solid women's binding. I wouldn't recommend their entry level ones though. Here's a few more quick links, pretty sure the Minx one is meant to match up with the Jewel board.

and a quick link to a few Burton bindings also...

Good luck, hope you find something that works well for ya
