So, I have a pretty cheap set up and my god brother was baggin on me (a Lamar board and Burton Freestyle bindings) and his set up is a Gnu board and some high end Morrow bindings and some Thirty-Two boots. I think he was mainly baggin on my board though. Is a Gnu crazy better than a Lamar or somethin (realize we're both newb's though)

gnu is definetly significantly farther inline then a lamar, but they both get you down the hill and you wont notice a difference if your a beginner. gnu really doesnt make a bad board though so he wont outgrow his board as quickly as you will. a dedicated and interested snowboarder will outgrow a lamar in one season it seems like before the want to step it up a notch.
