Looking at the bataleon Goliath, and was wondering if there was any changes to the board for the 2010 model other than the graphics? Also wondering if this board would be any good in the park (rails, box's, small kickers)Thanks, any opinions of the board would also be appreciated

A little more freeride oriented than say the airobic, fun.kink, or evil twin. But it would still make a great park board IMO. Oh yeah, and Bataleon is THE BEST THING to happen to snowboarding!

I actually just picked up a a Goliath the other day. I was kind of unsure if this board would suit what i wanted. I talked to a rep at a local shop near me an dhe said that the Bataleon boards were gearde dmore towards park, rails, and jibbing, which I thought was kind of interetsing because after reading a few posts here and what the bataleon website said about the board, I thought those POV were kind of conflicting.
I decided to send a Bataleon an e-mail. They got back to me within 24hrs. I told him that I am a bigger guy 6'2" 235 and I dont really ride the park, but I hit jumps, pop rollers, and mostly do free ride and all mtn riding. This was his response to me. "The Goliath is a perfect choice for how you explained your type of riding. This board is defiantly not made to just stay in the park although it does handle it self well there. Many of our pro's choose this board for there all around stick so next you should decide between the 161W and the 164W. Either way you will enjoy the ride! Hit us up anytime! Joey" I am going to Killington this weekend to check it out, and I will let you know what I think when I get back. I can defintely tell you that this board is defintely not flat! |

Once you ride TBT you will understand. All the things they say on their website are true. the triple base technology makes everything from carving, butters, boxes, spins, jumps, riding flats, you name it better.
TBT really makes snowboard even more fun .

Goliath has setback, and is directional, so it's their entry-level all-mountain board. For a more park oriented board that's still good all-mountain, I'd suggest the Evil Twin.
