Northwave Decade Boots

Just picked up a pair of 08's. I haven't had a new pair of snowboard boots in 10yrs. So my question is:

My boots are traditional laces on the outside, and I assume speed laces on my liner, at least that's what they look like. Is this correct? What do I do with the excess lacing for my liner? Just tuck it in?

Dang new fangled gear I'm an idiot
