Waist size question - Snowboarding Forum

Ok, I was looking at getting a board with a 25.4 waist size. I have 32 size 14 boots and I don't think they have a smaller foot print, my angles are 15, -15. Would that waist size work with my shoe size and stance angles?

With size 14 boots i'd say 25.4cm is the absolute minimum waist width. Look for something more in the 26cm and up range. You gots big feet man

25.4 sounds too small for a 14 boot... I bet even at 26 you'll get overhang no matter your stance width and angles. Geez how tall are you? Don't get a mid-wide, find a wide board for sure.

you want the board as wide as possible i have a ride DH2 DFC with a waist of 26.2cm and its barely wide enough for my 13 boots, i also ride 15 -15 angles and its a snug fit.

absolute minimum?????? i would say dont even feckin think about imo. with size 14 look for at minimum 26cm, closer to 27 cm would be your best bet..

Absolute minimum is just that

. Is it ideal, hell no. Is it a good choice, hell no. Can he still ride it if there are no other options, yes.

I def agree a 27cm waist is the way to go.

for a ten ideally you would be at 25cm

A 26 waist is def the smallest you can go, otherwise you will have heel and toe drag. And don't think about getting risers, those things suck. Def want to look at something like the Gnu Riders Choice. That has a 26.8 waist and the NS Legacy-R has a 26.9
