Has anyone else ever bent a Ride baseplate? I noticed a gap yesterday between the base of my binding and my board. I thought the screws were loose but when I looked closer my back binding is leaning towards the back of the board and the base plate is about 1/8"" off the board on the inside rear corner. There is also a crack in the highback.
I really think if this was well made stuff that I would have hurt myself to torque those hard enough to do that and I absolutely don't know what I did. I sent Ride an email and Whiskey Militia has already given me an RMA to exchange them but I'm concerned that maybe these bindings won't stand up to me. A couple other people seem to think Ride bindings are good and I may have just gotten a bad one. Anyone else had problems with Ride stuff? Is it possible the womens lines just aren't burly for women that ride hard? |

The baseplates are forged aluminum and carry a lifetime warranty from ride. I've never seen one crack or bend. A crack in the highback seems to indicate that the binding possibly got crushed by chair, which may have led to the baseplate cracking as well. Did you just notice this?

I did just notice this, and you know what? I do think it got run over by a chair. It did snag for a moment under a chair Monday at Loveland. I didn't think much of it and just started folding it before I got on. I wonder if that is what happened? I bet they won't replace it if thats what I did.
