The machete is a cool deck. It rides true to size if that's what you're asking. It has like 4mm's of rocker in the nose and tail and flat between the feet.

so isnt that essentially a zero camber, i know not literally since it has 4mm of camber after the bindings but pretty much 0 camber right?

if you look at a solid 3 stage rocker they're all flat between the feet with the exception of a few companies that haven't figured it out yet. The machete has a cool story Paul built something like 97 proto types before he was satisfied with the way it rode. It's a fun deck, not my cup of tea but still a fun deck.

Dropping from a 155 to a 154 would be pointless if you really want to downsize. If you're riding a 155 right now and want to downsize, look at a 151-153. I would also put some major thought into the Jibpan Rocker. My board next year will either be that or a Indoor FK.

Yeah I would really like to go smaller than a 154, but I'm also 195lb. Also I could be wrong on this but if I goto small that might shorten my stance width which is about 25 1/2 inches now not sure if this is true so dont quote me. Well it's still early so I have a couple of month to decide.

When you drop below a 54 in most companies reference stance drops from 22 and some change to 21 and some change. That changes the max stance. Also at your weight don't go lower than a 155.
