helmet

Hey i was reading another forum and some guy posted about
his teacher(who is a rescue firefighter) saying that all
helmets that are up to today's standards are useless at
crashes at 25mph and above. i personally dont believe this
is true but im wondering if anyone has heard this information
elsewhere. i also read that wearing a beanie under the helmet
makes it useless too. again, i dont believe this is true,
but where do people get this information?

no.

wearing a helmet is never a bad idea. if you ram your head into a tree at 25 mph even with wearing a helmet your prolly still going to be injured. but i'll take that scenario with the helmet over without one any day.

as far as the beanie goes i've never heard of that. i know some helmets come with beanies but i cant think of who it is. i never have a reason to wear a beanie under me helmet as it keeps me warm enough.
