just got my airobic yesterday havent riden it yet, ran my hand across base and it just felt like a sheet of wax, took my nail to it and basically strings of wax were just coming off. ive never had a board with an extruded base b4 (not like i had a choice but i really wanted this particular board), so is it normal to leave more wax on an extruded base or should i just bite the bullet and just rewax the damn thing?
thanks P.S. o im gunna be riding in pretty slushy spring conditions so im not even sure waxing it is gunna do me any good since most of my work is gunna be taken off pretty early in the day |

I would clean it and reawax it regardless of how it looked from the factory. Its a new board. Do you want to base to be protected by "some sort of wax something" or by the wax you applied and worked into the base? If you burn up the board its on you not the factory wax coating. Scrape it, clean it, wax it, ride it.
