Online vs Instore

Hey guys was curious on where every1 bought their gear from whether online or instore. Considering there's so many good online retailers these days was just wondering what % of people order their gear online. I figure not many people order boots over the net.

I've never bought anything in store. The prices just aren't comparable.

I buy most of my stuff online simply because the stores near me are really overpriced and usually don't carry stuff in my size.

The shops here in the city markup like no other. It's ridiculous. I buy most of my gear online (but I always try boots on in store first). Sometimes, though, I get hooked up and end up buying in store.

All of my stuff online. I'll sometimes stop in stores, but they aren't priced comparatively. One of the local shops (Ski Company) once had an ad that said that they would price match...I tried going in halfway through the season to ask if they would PM an online store, and the response was 'It depends. Some of the stuff like the outerwear is already 20% off so we won't on those.'

Meh, I don't get it. But yeah... I'm also not a fan of some of what they charge for some stuff. $60 to mount ski bindings... AND snowboard bindings....yeah.

You people that think their mark ups are huge are living in denial. Stupid online shops like Sierra, Backcountry, and evo are what's going to kill your local scene and you don't even see it coming. Have fun with that.

I don't buy from those stores. I buy from personal auctions. I can't afford new stuff. And that's why I can't afford shopping at local stores. Don't lump me in with the downfall of small business.
