Default Ride DH - Older

Hi all,

I'm just looking at buying a Ride DH. It's an older one. NEW Ride DH 157 Snowboard* Super RARE burton cartel P1 - (eBay item 130169192823 end time Nov-06-07 18:00:00 PST) in ebay.

I froth over the graphics so thats the main reason I'm keen.
But can any1 tell me what year this board was made. (I saw it a few times when I spent a season in WHistler in 05/06). And if it would be suitable for a guy 5"11 and lighter than average.
I ride some park. Would I be much better off getting a newer board?
Thanks for any help

looks like the model from 2 seasons ago.

2 points i want to make to you:

#1. dont buy a board just because of the graphics

#2. if you ride "some" park, this is not the board for you. this is a park board.

That is an 05/06 mdel DH and why do they have the word NEW in the title and USED in the description? I don't think it is a great deal as I have seen last years model sell new on Ebay for $230 and this years model sell new for $280. I don't know if the tech has changed much in the last three years but if you live in Canada, this guy's shipping is insane at $100.

the sellers description is completely inaccurate, which alone would cause me not to buy from him. the board is a ride, and he has "burton", "cartel", and "p1" in the description. he's just fishing for search hits. the ride dh is an awesome board though. a buddy of mine has one. he does about 50/50 between the park and the hills and it works out fine for him.

doesnt seem like a bad deal to me... i have that same year DH, but the DFC edition. i dont believe the technology has changed since and that was the first year that they had the slimewalls. the boards edges also seem to be in good shape

as for the sellers discription, personally it seems pretty legit to me. he has a 100% positive rating and including "Burton", "Cartel", and "P1" is very common. just my .02

oh, and i also am about 50% park 50% hill, and the DH is amazing all around.
