Whats good people,

I was doing some research on snowboards and came across this site were you can get raw materials and build your own snowboard. Seems ok, but something tells me the process is a bit more technical.

Action Sports Technology

Any of you guys ever try to build one?
Would you do this just out of curiosity, or to try something new(innovative)?
Or would yal rather just leave the job for the (aspiring)pros?

I think i would build one just to mess around and test my ability.

isn't there some company that makes custom boards for people? I'm eventually going to make me a rockered arnold schwarzengger snowboard, It'll have him on the topsheet in a bikini flexing, then it'll have a bunch of awesome quote boxes of his most famous sayings like "Get to the CHOPPER" and "It's not A TUMOR!".I also want them to implement a press button on the tail and nose, so whenever I bust out a sick tail or nose press it'll automatically shout out one of those movie lines. Easily the greatest snowboard ever made.

you would just need to do a little research, this would be great for someone who wants to fully customize their stuff

People think it's more complicated than it actually is. You can build a board just don't expect it to be as great as something from the Elan or K2 factory. Basically what that site teaches you is how snowboards were made back in the day.

I once tried to drive away forgetting to bleed my brakes after I changed my calipers. I would never trust a snowboard I built. It would probably be held together with gorilla glue and drywall screws.

sure you can get custom sh*t from prior, but just leave the designs to them and pick up one of their boards. They're super solid boards and they only put out the best that they can
