Should an intermediate have problems using advanced equipment?

I'm about to buy a new board, and am looking into several models. Some of them are defined as advanced or experts boards. My level is intermediate, and having at best a few days in the snow each year, I'm wondering if I should consider those boards at all at this point. Assuming all boards are meant for the same terrain, and the price difference is insignificant, will I have a harder time riding a higher quality board, or is it going to be the other way around?

The question came up when I was comparing Forum's Grudge and Symbol (both wide, for all-mountain use). A specific answer regarding those boards would be great, but a general one would be appreciated as well.

As Far as quality goes. I think you will get more duarability from a higher quality board than a cheaper one. I really depends on what u want to do with it. Flex and lenght will have plenty to do with your sucess. If you want to get out more than you stated then goe with something you will be able to progress with and not grow out of too quickly. Read up on what the boards are designed for and decide that way.

I have the Grudge. Its a all moutain freestyle board. Its plenty stiff enough to charge the mountain and easy to control. Its fast. Hitting jumps is no problem. I have not gone into the park yet but thats my next step. Its a 6/10for flex the Symbol is a 7. Quality is comparable but they are Slighty different boards. The Grude is a good pipe board the symbol is not.
